Saturday Man Movie

Time for a bit more modern manliness. Here, Chuck Norris, as Texas Ranger Lone Wolf McQuade, brings justice to villain Rawley Wilkes, played by David Carradine, who was a skilled martial artist in real life himself. Both men refused to use stunt doubles in this fight, over the strenuous objections of the movie producers.

  1. One of my favorite movies. But I think the best scene is when McQuade extracts himself from the pit...

  2. A good clip. But what about Zin or Murphy vs. Cat Norris?

    That would be epic.

  4. I'd have put the truck scene up but it wasn't embed-able.

  5. David Carradine was NEVER good at martial arts. Yes he learned some after his 'kung fu' series but was never a master nor any kind of high rank.

Now he did like it and considered himself a sort of promoter of kung fu, but he never as good at it.

Chuck, on the other hand, was the real deal. He won the Professional Middleweight Karate champion title for six consecutive years among others.

His favorite kick was the back kick. And Tang So Do was his style. Or at least his first style, just as Taekwondo is my first (but no.. I ain't no Chuck Norris!)
