Back in the sky!
Well I'm just back from a refresher flight at the Martinsburg airport. I haven't flown a plane in quite some time and I decided to get back with it. Today was my first refresher flight leading up to a new biannual flight review and we flew from Martinsburg down to Winchester, Virginia and back, practicing a few turns and stalls along the way. Martinsburg is a controlled airport and I'm not really used to those, nor am I used to waiting in the pattern while Air Force C-130's take off and land (those things ROCK!) but all went smooth and I got a few decent landings in along with one that sucked. According to my Instructor Check Pilot, one more good day of flying should see me recertified and checked out to fly the rental planes. Then you all can look forward to some aerial photgraphs. And we'll also see how Lagniappe does in the back seat of a light plane.
