Snow, snow...we finally got snow.
Of course we got 16 inches of it overnight, so that might be a bit of overkill, but it's good to see snow again just the same.
Now a shorter driveway would be nicer to have. I just finished shoveling it all by hand.
Of course Lagniappe helped. He has a ball in the snow. So I decided to take him to Harpers Ferry and let him play on the towpath and perhaps go up on Maryland Heights. However our first attempt to get out through 16 inches of snow ended in a decision to quit after 15 minutes or trying (and failing) to bull my way up the first small hill on my road. Since there are larger hills past it, I gave up and went home for a while. Later in the afternoon, the state plow worked it's way up and I was able to get out after that.
We made it to Harpers Ferry a litle before sunset.
We crossed the bridge and Lagniappe ran his paws off on the towpath.
Doesn't he look ferocious?
We went up to Jefferson Rock and looked back down on the town and St. Peter's Roman Church.
And on the way back down, Lagniappe made two new friends.
And as the sun went down and it got too cold to play in the yard, Lagniappe took his frog and retired to his special green rug in front of the stove.
Good night!
Great pix! Glad to see someone else loves the snow as much as I do!
