Lagniappe just wanted to offer a few pointes on gun safety to New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin in the wake of the photo a few stories below. He says:
1. Always treat every gun as if it's loaded. (Especially ones pointed at high-ranking city officials like Warren Riley.)
2. "Always be sure of your backstop. (Police Superintendent Warren Riley is generally not an acceptable backstop.)
3. "Never point a gun at anything that you're not prepared to destroy." (This should include Warren Riley.)
4. "Keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot.
5. Always keep firearms out of the hands of children. (And irresponsible mayors of third-world "chocolate cities.")
Yo! I'm talking to YOU, Ray!
I just saw that picture of Nagin on another blog and my head about exploded. Anybody ever screwed around like that in my presence would have left the range bloody.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the picture!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for reminding idiots out there how to PROPERLY handle a weapon!! There are so many gun owners I wish I could just arrest for stupidity as they cannot handle one safely!!
