Skunk let into a house this morning in Northumberland County
MOUNT CARMEL – A Mount Carmel woman thought she was petting a neighbor’s cat, but it turned out to be a skunk. Mount Carmel police were called to a home Monday after the skunk sprayed the woman and the animal ran into her home around 5a.m. Northumberland County Emergency Services says it took several hours to clear the animal from the house. Ding Dong Ding Dong!
ReplyDeleteShe must not have a very good sense of smell either, if there's a skunk anywhere nearby you SHOULD be able to smell it...they don't have to spray to release their trademark odor! Eh, well, the coal region here in PA has never been a source of staggering genius that I know of...
ReplyDeleteWell it WAS Mt Carmel;) Gotta see the place to understand;)
ReplyDeleteI've been there, Evil Transport Lady. Lagniappe and I spent a few days in the Mt. Carmel/Centralia area a few years ago. And I can see someone from that area doing just that. Not exactly the garden spot, evolution-wise... The average local dreamed of someday becoming an extra on a remake of the movie "Deliverance".
ReplyDeleteLessee...I've boozed it up at the Clover Hose and Anthracite Fire Companies as well as The Sons of Poland and various other locations there with a buddy's band (they do an acoustic show every Thursday at the Pine Burr Inn just outside of M.C.) and a friend who lived there temporarily.
ReplyDeleteLet's just say I've seen enough of Mount Carmel to get a feel for it's citizenry! Good people all around but the area just doesn't seem to be conducive to academic excellence (although their football team has had some good years.)
