Someone found his forever home.
Flashback--Audie Murphy arrives, December 8th, 2011.
Over the course of this year, he's calmed down, learned to obey me (for the most part), and become much more sociable with strangers, especially the small ones that used to frighten him so. He's considerably different from the skittish, aggressive dog that he used to be. He's maturing into a fine dog, and while he's still got a few rough edges to polish off, I'm quite pleased with him. Here's hoping for many more anniversaries to come.
I'se a happy dog!
He could not ask for a finer Dogfather. You've done well with him.

Here's hoping for many more anniversaries to come.
ReplyDeleteAmen.
It's a win-win. Given the almost infinite possible fates stretching out in front of a dog like Murphy, its a wonderful mystery that he ends up with someone like you.
ReplyDeleteAnd, of course, you win too :) Good for both of you.
Been a year already?!? Wow. Congrats to you and Murphy. I look forward to meeting him.
ReplyDeleteYep, MUCH more friendly (I'm still trying to get the dog hair out of the jacket)... He's a beautiful dog, and he will be a great companion!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a lot of fun watching Audie Murphy find himself. I hope I get to meet him in person someday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary you two and many, many more. Dang, he is a handsome boy.
ReplyDeleteI love success stories! Congratulations & many happy returns to both of you.
ReplyDeleteSee just like that dog guy always says "there are no problem dogs...just bad owners". You are a perfect example of adopting a misunderstood dog who just needed to find the "right" owner to showcase his good traits.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to you both.
I can't believe it's been a year with him already...good grief, that means I've been reading your blog for nearly three years then. I really need to get a "life" :-)
Give your pooch an extra snack from me.
Congratulations
ReplyDeleteAnd he likes ice cream, too! You've both done a finer job. Happy Anniversary -- and many more!
ReplyDeleteA man and his dog. . .
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get any better than that.

Awwwww!!! Hard to believe that happy, face-slurping dog could ever have been skittish or aggressive.
