Friday Night

The boy watches a movie, and the dog watches the boy.

A rare treat for the kid at The Lair as a reward for joining me on a run this morning. (He actually ran a whole kilometer, or six-tenths of a mile.) Because he made the effort and didn't quit, he got to watch a movie from my collection. Smokey and the Bandit, with Burt Reynolds, Sally Field, Jerry Reed and Jackie Gleason. A classic. I don't allow no crap shows in this house, just good, wholesome American entertainment.

Smokey & the Bandit is a personal favorite, because - the year that it came out - I bought a '68 Dodge Super Bee that would accelerate like the Trans Am in the movie.

The Super Bee Adventures is another story, for another venue. But good on nephew for making the run with you!

Looks more like the dog is watching the popcorn than Spud!

@ drjim...There's truth there. But alas for poor Murphy, Spud does not share his food. Ever.

At least Murphy's being a Good Boy, just patiently waiting for Spud to drop a piece.....
