The difference between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin

So in the midst of the tsunami of anti-Zimmerman hate and rage coming from the left (and directed by the Hater-in-Chief Barack "I coulda been Trayvon" Obama, George Zimmerman apparently popped into public view again a couple of days ago when he came upon an overturned SUV and helped four people trapped inside get out.

George Zimmerman helped rescue family from overturned SUV, cops say

Not surprisingly, the mainstream media, which has been overwhelmingly anti-Zimmerman and pro-Martin for the last several months, has been very quiet on this story. However the story is out and it brings to light a fundamental difference between George Zimmerman and the late Trayvon Martin.

Based on what we've seen here and learned during the trial, George Zimmerman was and still is willing to help others in need. Martin, on the other hand, based upon his documented history of possession of stolen property and burglary tools, is much more likely to have crawled into that overturned SUV and grabbed the jewelry and other valuables of the people trapped inside. Yet only one of the two has been lionized by the President himself.

I've not been a fan of Zimmerman over the past year and a half, but I have to toss him a kudo on this one for a job well done. That said, I hope that he doesn't stay up late awaiting congratulations from Barry, Jesse and Al. They and their sycophantic followers are more likely to just condemn him for getting out of his truck once again.

  2. Actually Zimmerman is quite a stand up guy.

Read Mas Ayoob's take on the whole trial and you will see what I mean.

It is a six part article and notice Zimmerman was ELECTED captain of the block watch. And he did not go looking for Martin.

  6. As I read on one of the blogs on your bloglist (or somewhere).
"The most famous white hispanic in the world rescues 4 people, while the most famous black caucasian in the world refuses to rescue 4 people. Who's the hater?"

    Sounds about right to me.

  7. AJD: You're not far wrong there...its been my experience that some minorities tend to be the most racist people. Then again, its usually an extremely vocal subset that are racist. I know a few folks with differing levels of melanin in their skin who just want to get on with their daily lives and only ask that they be given the same opportunities as everyone else. Good folk!

As for GZ, were I in his shoes, I'd probably have already requested WitnessProtection. The fact that he's not only NOT hiding, but still actively helping those around him, I have the utmost respect for that. I've been following Massad's articles, and have to admit that I did fall for the media's line of BS in the beginning with regards to the "why did he get out of the truck to approach TM?" If Mr. Zimmerman ever reads this, my apologies.

  8. Aww, c'mon ML - Don't you know that Zimm staged that accident so he could be a hero again? I know that's what happened because I read it in the paper.
