Well that didn't take long. Anti-gun crowd exploiting Navy Yard shootings before it was even over.

Let's see...first we have DC's (thankfully) non-voting representative to Congress, Eleanor Holmes Norton, claiming that the shooting underscores the need for more gun control in DC, overlooking the fact that the shooting took place on a federal installation that has the very regulations that she'd like to see DC and everyone else living under.

DC Congresswoman on Navy Yard Shooting: ‘It Doesn’t Take a Terrorist’ With Guns So Accessible

So did those regulations stop the shooter? Neither did the laws against murder. But Holmes Norton was going to have her say and blame your guns and mine as quickly as she could. Never let a crisis--or the death of innocent people--go to waste, right?

Not to be outdone, the senate's perpetual anti-gun screech owl, Diane "I-got-mine-but-you-can't-have-yours-if-I-have-anything-to-say-about-it" Feinstein rushed right out to dive in front of the cameras and start touting her bill to ban all our guns again, just like she did during the Newtown school shooting. And just like in Newtown, she couldn't even wait for the blood to dry before she hurried out to dance in it.

Feinstein calls for new gun control laws again after Navy Yard shooting.

These people and others like them who gleefully try to use these tragedies for their own ends before the shooting has even stopped positively sicken me. Rather than be allowed to stand as "leaders" in our representative government. I think that insensitive, opportunistic cretins like this should be removed from office and placed under mental observation for a while, because it's clear that their obsession with their pet cause is overriding their basic ability to understand that things are happening that are bigger and more urgent then their dreams of an unarmed populace.

As for me, I'll consider giving up a few of my guns when Diane Feinstein gives up hers, including firing her armed bodyguards. When she's willing to live her life as she'd have us living ours, then we might be able to take her seriously.

On second thought, probably not even then.

  1. Ah, I am disgusted that these people literately walk in the blood of innocents to promote a agenda.

The Republic is done. Good run though.

  3. I'll give up my guns to stop gun violence when all drivers give up their vehicles to stop drunken driving accidents.

  5. Keads -- they do not walk in blood.

The gargle with it. Which explains why they cannot wait for the blood to dry, or even cool.

You cannot gargle with dried or coagelated blood -- you have to lick it off the floor while it's still fresh.
