More of my childhood dies

Fresh on the heels of Russell Johnson, aka "The Professor" dying, now Dave Madden, best known as Reuben Kincaid from the Partridge Family has died.

Dave Madden dead at 82.

I feel very old today.

And these things always come in threes. Who's next? Sam from Bewitched? Don Adams from Get Smart? One of the Monkees or those guys from Emergency? Anyone checked in on Rowan and Martin lately? What's that? Both dead already? Hell. Ima just going to spend the rest of the day watching I Dream of Jeannie and The Beverly Hillbillies. And if any of you don't know all of those shows, just get off my lawn unless you're bringing popcorn.

  1. I have no idea who those people are on the front of National Enquirer and People at the grocery check-out counter anymore. And I'm pretty sure it's not worth finding out about them.

Also yesterday - the last female Munchkin, and Roger Lloyd-Pack, who played "Owen" on "Vicar of Dibley".

  3. Elizabeth Montgomery died in 1995 at the age of 62. I can't figure out how all these old favorites keep aging & passing away ... after all, we haven't changed, right?

  4. Sorry to mention this in your time of grief, but Don Adams passed in '05. On a happier note, Barbara Feldon is still kickin' it at age 80

  6. Barbara Eden even donned her Jeannie outfit and wore it on television last year. She still looked great!
