Long day hot day. Got to Pima Air and Space Museum and spent hours walking around outside in the 100+ degree heat and direct sun, scoring so many pictures that my 8GB memory card is almost full. I got sunburn, I got light-headed, but damn, I saw and touched hundreds of awesome planes and I was virtually the only one out there so there was almost no one to mess up my shots! Great museum, and when I win the lottery, I'm going back there to shop, because they had everything that I want.
Staying with relatives tonight. No camping in the desert and no room by the highway on a grade where the big trucks engine-brake all night. Tomorrow is more adventures, but tonight...it's Miller Time.
It's a wonderful place that I've always wanted to go see.
ReplyDeleteOne of the places I plan on going to after I retire!
If I get my two German Sheps to ask really nicely - could we have the link to your trip's photos? Been -- my gawd -- 20 years since I was last at Pima and Davis-Montham. Just about walked my Father into a heat stroke in the 105 heat.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'll post them. It will just be after I'm home because I can't do it from the ipadmim using for blog updates. I'll be posting pics from this trip for a while to come, I'm thinking.
DeleteNominees for coolest airplane there?
