Medical complications

The doctor said to ice the broken foot, however it's really difficult to soak your foot in a tub filled with ice water when two German Shepherds decide that said tub of ice water is the best drinking bowl ever, even with a foot in it. Anyone wanna dog-sit at their house for a couple of days?

  1. Sorry, I have too many road trips. Truly sorry you're having those issues with the foot!

  3. I'm too far away to help, but you definitely have my sympathy!

There was one summer I spent with my left ankle broken, and my right one severely sprained.

Sure put a big dent in my activity that year!

  4. You could try putting your foot in iced beer. Then you'd have drunken dogs, too.

  5. Reminds me of the time I fractured two of my toes when I was about 13 years old. It hurt to walk, and I had to immobilize and ice them.

[How did I fracture them? We were camping out in my friend's backyard tent, and at about 1 AM, we made our way through a hole in the fence of the local swim club and swam in the pool. The local police came by, so, while running away from them (successfully), I tripped on an uneven sidewalk.

The laws of karma operated quite well in those days.].

  6. Large plastic freezer bag, duct tape and an empty waste basket should keep the dogs out of the water and off of your foot. Aside from that you might want to crate train them for some "me" time.

  7. Email me your dogs. I will take care of 'em.

Or you could ship them to me.

  8. Dog slobber is supposed to help with the healing process, at least that's what the voices tell me.

Sure, I'll take 'em for a couple weeks. Put them on the bus and I'll meet them at the depot.

You don't mind if they're on an all-cat diet, do you?
