On The Next Two Years

OK, the elections are over, and the Dems got their butts handed to them seriously.

Candidates who opposed gun rights got bounced.

Climate change whack jobs got trounced.

Sandra Fluke, the woman revered by liberals for demanding that taxpayers pay for her recreational birth control got trounced in a liberal California State Senate district.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker survived another Union-organized attempt to oust him after pushing Right-to-Work legislation through in Wisconsin. Likewise, Michigan's Governor Rick Snyder won re-election after signing similar legislation in Michigan. These races prove that while union leadership may be mad, the average state voter who is not a union member (and quite a few who are) wants the right to choose whether or not to support a union with their wages.

Across America, Republicans picked up almost every open seat in competitive districts while holding every one that they were trying to keep. The new Republican majorities in both House and Senate chambers are among the largest in history, and in this, I credit Barry Obama for narcissistically announcing that the Dem candidates running for election or re-election are people who have supported his agenda. Those people almost universally lost.

America spoke yesterday, and it rejected Obama's agenda. It also sent a message to the GOP to the effect that you guys have a mandate to stop Obama and his agenda, not to work with him or help him get more of it passed. That means that you cut taxes on businesses and individuals, replace Obamacare with plans that people acually want, leave our guns alone, and secure our borders, to include removing the foreign nationals that are already here illegally, competing with Americans for jobs.

Sadly, we now have Mitch McConnell and John Boehner leading the Senate and the House respectively, and both are milquetoaste compromisers with a track record of letting Obama bully them into going along with him. The GOP needs to ditch both of these guys for the next session and replace them with fresh blood and fresh visions in the form of younger conservatives who are more in tune with what America wants. We don't want any more of what we've been getting, that much is clear. Obama has been the biggest problem over the last six years, but the GOP leadership has been right up there with him and if we're going to turn America around, and if the GOP wants to hold onto their gains, McConnell and Boehner have got to follow Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi into obscurity. The GOP has a chance here, one that they're not likely to ever get again. The ball is in their court now and keeping the current failed party leadership in place would be a clear and unmistakeable signal to America that they either still don't get it or that they just don't care.

  2. Vote for No Democrat, No Incumbent and No Unopposed. That continuously sends the same message. That message would be "You folks work for us, not the other way around."

    1. Yes, "we" may have the power to take someone out of office. But since 40 to 48% of the voters are still drinking the Obama Kool-Aid. Plus another 10% that swings whichever way the wind is blowing today. Good luck with that. "Working for us". Politicians, any flavor, SERIOUSLY? I am LMAO!!

That's pretty much what my wife and I did last night.

  4. We also need to get rid of the progressive Republican "consultants" like Karl "Tokyo" Rove and the like. They are as bad, or worse than the "Leadership" in working against Conservative principals. Clean sweep, and for the next 2 years as a beginning, we need to keep their chestnuts squarely in the fire.

  5. And I see that Saira Blair, an 18 year old constitutional conservative, made political history by winning a seat in the Senate/House of Delegates for her district of West Virginia. Major Kudos to her!!! It's awesome to see a young person who stands up for what is right get the opportunity to represent the people of her district. I hope more young people like her take a stand, get involved, and do something to make a change.

  6. The truly sad part is the left is now saying Shillary will be a shoe in for 16, because the Dems will take everything back... Truly scary... And Miss Blair is going to get an education, and I hope she can 'educate' some of the old farts on what young folks care about and believe in.

  7. I have honestly never voted in a mid term. I know, I know. But this one I had to. I'm not going to post about it, outside of here. But Big Bro lost his job to Sequestration. And his insurance. He then got cancer. He couldn't get into the VA in a timely manner. He was too young for Tri Care. And he couldn't sign up for Obamacare as his state's website was so #*#'d up it was impossible and he finally gave up. So he died. By not getting care when the cancer came back. Way too early. He didn't want to sell off his house and leave his children homeless and penniless to pay his medical bills so he just didn't get care. And he left us way too early for it. As a Veteran, from a family that spent their whole lives as well in service to our country, he deserved better. For him, for his painful death, I voted.

    2. He did deserve better. Wish I'd known sooner--I'd have dedicated my vote to him as well.

  11. We made history in Iowa by electing Joni Earnst to the Senate. The first female veteran and the first female ever elected to a federal office in Iowa.

In other news, the day after, Plastic Shannon (T)watts made the statement that they had major victories all over the country.

She claimed that Mommies Demanding attention mad a big difference in the election. I'm still looking. Except for a couple of gun hating govenors (Co. Ct.) I haven't seen anything except a bunch of gun haters losing. They got that mostly unenforceable referendum passed in Washington, bought by millions supplied by Gates and Bloomberg. I know here in Iowa several of the gun haters got tossed out. Including one that advocated the police going door to door to collect guns.

Now if they would get rid of McConnel and Bohner we might be able to sit Barry down a notch. Maybe they could pursue impeachment.

*Shameless self promotion, I should be ashamed of myself, but I'm not.

    1. I think I was one of of the few in my county who voted for Joni as according to the Iowa map, a big majority of my county voted for her opponent. Glad my vote for Joni counted, though!
