Just completed my bi-annual flight review today. All went well, other than a dead battery on the plane despite it being stored in a nice, warm hangar. Felt good to get up and fly again.
Plane in it's hangar niche.
Pity that I had to leave, because the C-17s on the other side of the field were just starting to fly. They're supposed to be doing night pattern work with night-vision and no landing lights or field lights. Wish I could have stuck around, but work calls tomorrow.
Yeah, you don't want to be the only 'blind' one up there... :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the way you've got her in the glow of the spotlight with a little soft focus. Brings out the best in the old girl. You weren't a Playboy photographer in a prior life were you?
ReplyDeleteNaw, I just got lucky with the camera phone and editing software. But I did apply for the Playboy photographer job once. The job posting said that applicants needed to own a Nikon camera and the compensation was $65K per year. I told them that I'd take the job on two conditions, those being that they'd spot me enough to buy the Nikon and that they'd let me pay the $65K in monthly installments.
DeleteFor some reason, they hired someone else.
HAH!
DeleteNice looking Cessna!
Still planning on trading up to something different or what?
ReplyDeleteYep. Pondering a split-tail Bonanza and looking half-seriously at a low-priced Vultee BT-13 at present.
