My Dogs Are Weird

So I'm sitting in my chair watching a movie a few moments ago when Belle walks in and deposits a bar of soap in my lap. The bar looks familiar, as it should since it's the one out of my bathroom that I used in this morning's shower. For some reason, Miss Belle felt compelled to go through my bedroom into the bath, step into the tub and remove the bar of soap from the soap holder in the far wall, and bring it to me. Maybe I didn't use enough this morning?

I bring you this gift because I love you and you smell bad.

Why can't I have normal dogs like everybody else?

    Why normal?

  4. Who says that's not normal? The wife does that all the time to me when she wants to be subtle about my requirement to bathe.

Belle has been approved my my mother just now. She says to stop being a snob and to love her "mucho."

  6. Somewhere I read that pets and their masters develop the same traits. So.......if Belle is weird..............

  7. Maybe she wants you to give her a bath.

  8. Is the origin of that bar of soap rendered animal fat? If so, perhaps she is trying to trade the bar of soap for something more interesting like a rawhide.

No dog is normal. I had a really stupid Lhasa Apso once that ate crayons and cat poo. Count your blessings; it could be much worse.

  10. I'm not sure there is anything such as a normal dog. They are like us, they all have their quirks.

  12. My Golden ate kleenex whenever possible. She really liked Ivory soap, too.
Mom's cat would perch on her pillow in the morning and lick her hairspray off. Led to some interesting hairstyles. Animals are quirky like their owners.
