BUSTED!!!

SO tonight, after taking my guests out to dinner, I pulled up outside the house and decided to sneak up on the window and see if I could catch a dog on my leather sofa. I know that at least one of them has been up there lately but I wasn't sure which one. So I snuck up to the window with my camera and...

DAMMIT!!
BOTH the furry bastards were racked out on my sofa! WTF?

I blow a hundred bucks on dog beds scattered around the house and this is what they do when I'm gone.

Ass dogs.

  1. Hey, as long as they are not damaging the sofa... and also there are great covers for pet-owned sofas. (Yes, they own it now. They just let you use it and clean it)

  2. Hmm....it looks like you need to clean your window. Kidding.
You made me bust out laughing!

    1. I clean it regularly. Those are nose-prints.

    2. Why do you put your nose on the window?

    3. We call that "Nose Art".

  3. You need an "elf on the shelf" to keep an eye on them while you're away.

  4. See if you had a full size Christmas tree, they would have something to do besides ride the couch.

  5. Hey Murphy;

Yep you busted them, I am surprised you didn't notice all the dog hair all over your leather couch..... It is funny though, I have a lab/coon mix that does the same thing.

    1. I've seen the hair. That's how I knew they were up there. That and couch pillows always winding up on the floor. After all these years, this is new. I figured one and suspected Belle, but both together? Nope.

  6. I have an old wool Army surplus blanket that I put on the sofa when I leave, for just this purpose.

  8. I've told you before that I admire you for all you've done. But stalking your dogs? Although I will admit if ever two dogs needed watching!

    1. Trust but verify. Or in the case of these two...just verify.

  9. I've told you about Max, our 90lb GSD. We have four couches here and he owns all four of them.
We don't really mind. He doesn't do any damage and we keep slip covers on all but one of them most of the time.

  10. LOL, you expected something else out of those two?

  11. They missed you so much that they had to curl up on the couch, because it smelled like you. That's their story and they are sticking to it.

  12. I bought a new leather reading chair with ottoman over Thanksgiving. To keep Sienna off of it during the day, I put a folding fabric storage container (from the dollar store) in the middle of the seat.

So far she hasn't figured out that it's just an empty bin...

  13. Can't blame the dogs. Looks pretty comfortable.

  14. Reminds me of an interior designed who persuaded my parents that dogs hated naugahyde and wouldn't lie on couches covered with it.

Dad sent him a photo of all four dogs, who were sound asleep on the naugahyde-covered couches.
