Good Dog.

Or at least "Trusting Dog".

The ear medication continues, but Murphy has now gotten to the point where he will sit in front of me and stay still while I put the drops in both ears, after which he walks off grumbling and shaking his head. This is a far, far cry from the epic battles of two days ago. He still doesn't like it, but he's accepting it, at least from me.

I take this as an honor and a sign of trust, seeing as how the vet still needs two assistants to hold him when the doctor checks him out.

  1. If you give him a treat after putting in the medication, he might be even more tolerant.

  2. @ Mrs. S: Oh yeah, he always gets a treat when he does something that he's supposed to. A little positive reinforcement works wonders with this one.
