Busy, busy...

Got a date today. This one's coming over for movie night because she's never seen Casablanca. Gotta clean. Gotta vacuum. Gotta get the Christmas tree down and put away.

Every time I pick up all of Murphy's toys and put them in his toy box, he digs them all out again then walks away. (Not helping, dog!)

It's always amazing to see how much loose change and how many loose rounds of ammunition seem to turn up practically everywhere...and unopened NRA membership renewal letters.

Time's getting short, so Ima just grab up everything that's still out of place and toss it all into the room that she's least likely to see then close that door and block it with a chair or something.

Dammit, where's a van-load of French maids when you really need one?

  1. She's never seen Casablanca! Where did you find her-nursery school? Even my nine year old and two year old have seen Casablanca!

  2. Try explaining the houseful of girls in french maid outfits when your date shows up!.

    Have fun!

  3. Don't take the tree down -- just tell her the ornaments are modern-art Easter eggs.

    Happy Date Night!

    (Hasn't seen Casablanca? Seriously?)

  4. Be sure to clean the bathroom till it sparkles. The ladies tend to shy away from dirty bathrooms.

    Good luck!

  5. Maybe if you hide Murphy's toys around the house, he will collect them and take them back to his bed?

Have a wonderful movie night. For a double feature, add To Have and Have Not if she's a Bogie fan.

Okay, now that my braincell has been forced to reboot due to the data-vortex caused by sheer lack of culture...

  10. Just as well the van of French Maids didn't show up - how would you ever have any energy left for your date? ;-)

  11. I'm going to chime in with everyone else here...

    Hasn't seen Casablanca?

Is there also a lost valley full of dinosaurs out there in WV?

  14. Lordy. Even my "I don't want to see black and white movies" daughter fell in love with Casablanca.
