On Dogs and Alcohol

For those of you who found it strange that my dogs didn't want to drink the spilled Guinness beer the other night (I'm sure that my yelling had nothing to do with it), perhaps it's because they were aware of their predecessor's experiences with alcohol.

Two memories about Lagniappe, the booze-liking German Shepherd

And don't be hating on my Guinness, you Guinness-haters.

  1. Guiness is ... boring, relatively speaking. But acceptable if the other choices are Bud, Miller, etc.

  3. Barkley's predessor Clyde (after Clyde Cessna) the black lab once got an entire spilled one at which point he started humping random legs and barking out Sea Shanty's.

  4. I used to have a lab who was fine judge of beer. He was good with most things I would enjoy drinking, but friends who drank Miller Light were shunned.
