Blogshoot invite, again.

"Ya gonna take that one to the blogshoot, Boss?"

Maybe, maybe not, Murphy, but I'll be bringing lots of others. And since I've just heard that a certain lady shooter of some esteem will be there with some vintage black powder weapons, it's a fair bet that I'll be trotting one or two of those out in addition to everything else.
Why not? If she can, I can.

Rumor has it that JayG and Bubblehead Les will be coming with some cool stuff, too. Question is, what will YOU bring?

November 1st, 1000 hours, Jefferson County, WV. E-mail martinihenrywv@gmail.com for the particulars. RSVP early, please.

  1. I'm "Scheduled to Attend"' as they say on the Awards Shows. As for Kool Stuph, I'll see what I can Scrounge. But don't get your hopes up.

Unless someone is looking to "Engage in Capitalistic Commerce" regarding a South African FN-Fal Parts Kit....

  6. What kind of Mauser is that? Turkish Model 1903? Can't really tell.

  9. I'm having trouble leaving comments again. Don't know why. I was asking what kind of Mauser that was in your picture. It looks like a Turkish Model 1903 but I can't tell enough to be sure.

    1. You weren't having trouble. I was. I saw your comment just fine but couldn't post it or answer it. That rifle is a FN Model 1950 Mauser in .30-06. I also have a Turkish Model 1903 around here, but it needs a new ejector so it doesn't get shot at present.

    2. Wow. I don't have one of those myself . Must have come out of South or Central America at some time.

I have trouble with some blogs, especially if they are Word Press. I'm glad this time it wasn't on my end.

  10. If that is an open invitation, I'd like to attend. West Virginia sounds like a doable drive. Maybe my son would also attend.

  11. It's far enough out I at least have it penciled on the calendar. Don't have anything interesting to bring to shoot, but I might know a joke or two.

  12. David, I think that there will be plenty of guns to go around. Just come on out!

  13. E-mail sent, count me in. I'll bring my small cache, including my Tavor.

  14. "Lady shooter of some esteem"? I've been called many things in my life, but that's a new one. I'll get some more rounds made up and bring the Bess.

  15. Ooooh, this sounds interesting! I've got the completed Y/A lower I won last year. I've got a Mosin to try out. And if Formynder brings his Tavor, I'm bringing the MSAR (Steyr clone) for a Bullpup shootout!
Even better, I'll spend Halloween in Pittsburg terrorizing the neighborhood with some friends and the
Zombie Truck, and the shoot is halfway home!

  16. I have made my motel reservations. Staying in Motel 6 in Charles Town. Hopefully the son is coming, pretty sure of it but not certain yet.

As for things to shoot, just run of the mill pistols and rifles. I was wondering though, do they allow explosive targets. I have ten pounds of binary exploding target mix I could drag along (that is if I don't forget it this time as I did for NH).

    All the best,
