Tired...

Started running again last week. Had a long run yesterday and felt all good about it, so I ran again today.

I completed the run, but now I'm stiff and sore, a sure sign that I overdid it, just a bit. But this new running leg is so comfortable, that I just can't not use it. Besides, I have fitness-based plans for next summer and those races aren't going to run themselves.

Still...as of right now, the carbon-fiber leg is the only part of me that's not giving me negative feedback.

Ow.

This thing works. I think that they make it out of the same sort of plastic that they make these out of:

I'm still invincible...just old and out of shape. Sigh.

  3. Two words: FOAM ROLLER. Invest in a cheap foam roller and make sure you use it and stretch your muscles after every run. Your body will love you for it and you will be amazed at the difference in soreness.
Or you could just get yourself a bike and get in shape from riding. That's a heck of a lot funner than running, but hey that's my opinion ;-) And when it gets too cold and snowy in WV, you put it on a trainer, and watch your favorite Saturday man movies and get your sweat on with no excuses.

  4. You might want to go talk to the folks at the new crossfit Iron Musket on the new Rt 9 Bars and exit. I've really never been stronger and in better shape. I can only fit in one a week which is not ideal fir learning certain skills. But e everything can be scaled and adapted, even for old ladies like me and they have a 10 time punch card for $100 so it is only $10 each time. They also have military and teacher discounts

    1. I wondered about that. "My! West Virginia has exits specifically for Bars. How great is that?"
