What do you do when your singer can't make it? Call a cop.

Specifically, you call Officer Carlton Smith, A West Virginia University police officer.

At the WVU/Kansas game in Morgantown, WV last Tuesday, the snow was so bad that the scheduled National Anthem singer couldn't make it. Officer Smith, with five minutes prep time, took to center court and saved the day though, with this fantastic rendition of our anthem.

Good job, Officer Smith. America salutes you.

  5. Awesome! That's way better and more authentic than some crackhead celebrity who tries to turn our National Anthem into some kind of musical jungle gym.

  6. And sadly, how many today even know the FIRST words of the National Anthem?
