WAKE UP!!!

I swear, there isn't ANY sound that can wake a person from a dead sleep and get them out of bed at 2AM more effectively like the sound of a German Shepherd getting ready to barf.

Put that noise on an alarm clock and no one who has ever had to clean a floor will ever oversleep again.

  1. If you should sleep through it, stepping off the bed into a cold, slimy surprise would serve to reinforce the trigger warning.

  3. Works the same for cats. Especially if they're on your bed and less than a yard from your head.

    1. Yeah, ditto on the cat yack, it's the gift that keeps on giving if you don't catch it soon enough.

  4. Which dog is it? OMG where are they?-----OUT! Quick, if you are lucky. And then you get that lovely adrenaline dump afterward. So much fun.

  6. Yup. Seems to come with the territory. Belle or Murph? My brother's drahthaar did that to me one night recently in an RV after a day of chasing whistle pigs, and eating a few. Sure woke me right up, but not fast enough to toss the beast off my bunk. Bro either slept thru the whole thing, or pretended to. Beyond nasty on my quilt.

  8. My only question is with acres of hard surface floor (hard wood, and linoleum) why does barf ALWAYS wind up on the rug?? Even if the rug is tiny, itty-bitty small???

  9. It was Belle. It's always Belle. Belle has a tender tummy like I've never seen in a dog while Murphy is a goat who chews up tin cans and eats rat poison and then comes back asking for seconds.

  11. My kids brought their German Shepard down here for their visit. Those dogs are a lot to handle, just from the size and energy aspect.

    1. They can be. They need exercise and plenty of mental stimulation or life will be hell for everyone.

  12. No kidding! Abby Lab used to barf pretty frequently. I started giving her a couple big spoonfulls of vanilla yogurt (NOT the low calorie kind that has artificial sweetener) which she LOVES and the barfing is a thing of the past.
