America-hating professor "Wierd Ward" Churchill may get his due

Anyone remember the kooky professor from University of Colorado who said that the innocent Americans killed on 9/11 were "little Eichmann's" and who claimed to be of Indian descent until denounced by the tribe that he claimed to represent? Well it looks like his chickens are coming home to roost. A panel of scholars at that school studied his writings for four months and determined that he "plagiarized, fabricated and falsified material and seriously deviated from accepted research practices in his writings."

Further, the panel said that the misconduct was "deliberate and not a matter of an occasional error."

They are now debating a range of punishments from a two-year unpaid suspension to outright termination. They won't make up their mind until he responds to their report, but apparently he's already planning to respond like a true Leftist Liberal and file a barrage of lawsuits if they take any action against him at all.

Several Colorado legislators have called upon the university to fire him and even the state's Governor has called upon him to resign in the wake of his comments suggesting that America deserved to get hit on 9/11 and all the dead had it coming in some way.

He apparently could not be fired for those comments without violating his free speech rights but the university's Board of Regents voted to review his scholorly work and found it to be incredibly lacking.

"Either the man is immensely sloppy or, as they indicate in the findings, dishonest," Faculty council chair Rod Muth said. "For this many things to be substantiated, it says the individual is not paying attention to standards of scholarly practice."

The university has the legal right to suspend Churchill without pay for two or five years, said J. Eric Elliff, counsel to CU's Standing Committee on Research Misconduct.

Here'shoping they stay the course and remove that disgrace to Colorado's higher education system.
