Code Pink psychopaths disrupt Congress yet again

Showing us exactly how much actual substance that their arguments have, members of the small radical "look-at-me" club known as Code Pink entertained themselves by acting like fools in yet another Congressional hearing where General Petraeus was trying to brief Congress and the rest of America on the war in Iraq.

Now I don't have a problem with people who want to express their views in a peaceful and respectful manner. Our Constitution grants everyone that right and that's what makes America such a great place. However these fools have no intention of being peaceful or respectful of anyone, nor do they even wish to put their opinions out in the intellectual arena for people to consider alongside other peoples' opinions. Instead, as the video shows, they just want to act obnoxious and prevent anyone else from getting a message out by shutting down public forums whenever they can get into one. And that's the total antithesis of what our First Amendment is all about. If Cindy Sheehan and her cartoon-character followers had intelligent things to say, they could express their views in ways that would still allow others to speak and be heard and they would not have to try to stifle everyone else to ensure that they and they alone obtain the attention of whatever media is present. But they have nothing to say and they know it, and that's why they act stupid and waste the time of so many police officers and court staff (who all have better things to do) by demanding to be arrested every time there's a news crew within a hundred yards. These people need to brush up on the whole concept of a "free exchange of ideas" and work on putting together cogent opinions and expressing them in ways that respect the rights of others. I doubt that they will however, because they seem to enjoy the celebrity status that they confer on each other within their own tiny circle of nutters and that appears to be more important than actually winning thinking people over to their point of view.

If these folks were really serious about their efforts instead of just playing around, they'd sell their possessions and pool the money to buy ads on billboards and in newspapers or on TV and actually try to sway people. But they aren't serious. They just want to get people to look at them so that they can claim to be doing something without actually doing anything or sacrificing anything. As it stands, they strike me as nothing more than squirrel bait.
