Super Tuesday is over

And West Virginia's delegates were handed to Mike Huckabee, the guy who is only staying in the race to act as a spoiler and keep Romney from defeating McCain, as far as I'm concerned.
For the record, this wasn't my call. I won't accept a Huckabee presidency any more than I will a liberal one such as Hillary, Obama or McCain. And it appears as if the McCain "victory" is a lock despite the fact that we conservatives have voiced our strenuous objection. Sadly for the party, McCain's about to find out that he can't win the November election without us. Didn't they learn anything from the last disaster when they ignored the will of the voters and anointed Bob Dole simply because he'd been around so long and "it was his turn"? I guess not. Dole got trounced; the country suffered through eight years of ridicule and embarrassment with Bill Clinton at the helm, and now because the wheelers and dealers in the GOP think that McCain deserves the chance "because it's his turn", we may see Bill Clinton's wife-of-convenience get the presidency and America will suffer some more. And as far as I'm concerned, we're going to suffer anyway, because McCain and Hillary are two sides of the big government, high taxes, pro-illegal alien, less freedom coin. Mitt Romney is the only one who can save us from that but the GOP faithful are working as hard to defeat him as the Democrats are. All I can say in reply to the GOP is: Don't ask me for a damn thing this year. No money, no endorsement, no yard sign on my lawn, and no vote in November. When Romney goes out, I go out. And I won't come back just to help keep Hillary or Obama out of the White House. You (the GOP) made the mistake and you can deal with it and shoulder the blame for at least the next four years.

The only good thing to come of yesterday's WV caucus was that Ron Paul was a loser. Now maybe those stupid hand-painted signs that say "Ron Paul is the answer!" will no longer be stuck up along the roads everywhere. I've been so tempted to get out some paint and a brush and make my own signs that said: "If Ron Paul is the answer, it must have been a stupid question." But unlike the dozen or so Ron Paul fanatics in Jefferson County, I respect my neighbors and the community too much to litter like that.
