Eve of Destruction? It's up to us.

Well here we go. Tomorrow is the day when American voters will go to the polls and choose between a distinguished Senator and a guy who hasn't even finished his first term.

We'll pick either a man with decades of government service or someone who, as far as we can tell, hasn't accomplished a thing in either his short time in the US senate (a mere 148 days before he decided to run for the top job) or the Illinois Senate, where he basically just voted "present" whenever a tough issue came before him.

We can elect a man who went to war for our country as a Naval aviator and spent years in captivity, or a guy who pals around with people who tried to blow up our Pentagon and assassinate police officers long before bin Laden made it fashionable.

We can have a man whose past is an open book, free from scandal, or one who has ensured that we could not learn about his legislative achievements, his legal work for ACORN and other nebulous clients, any papers that he wrote at Harvard, his medical records, or even his birth certificate, which actually may not exist as it's alleged that he was born outside of our country, thus making him ineligible for this position.

We know so much about Senator McCain, but little about Obama, aside from the fact that he spent twenty years sitting in the church of an avowed racist and America-hater named Jeremiah Wright (and then lied to us and denied hearing Wright curse white people and America).

We also know that John McCain's wife, Cindy has been a successful businesswoman and worked full-time for numerous charities here and abroad, while Michelle "Omarosa" Obama has done little more than ride the Affirmative Action gravy train through school to get to the point where she could use her husband's influence to get her a three hundred thousand dollar a year do-nothing job at a hospital that depended on Barrack Obama to steer tax dollars their way.

We know that Cindy has helped kids and vets for decades while Michelle has never been proud of this country until it looked like we might actually give her husband something.

We also get a bonus pick for Vice-President. We get to choose between a woman who has demonstrated her ability to run both a city and America's largest state (giving her more executive experience than Obama has) and a guy who has been in the senate since he got out of college and who has been rejected by his own party for the presidential nomination numerous times. She's a capable, conservative who has a record of bucking the system to do the right thing, and he's a hard-left liberal who believes that it's unpatriotic to not want to pay more in taxes to the government.

In short, we get to choose between a leadership team that has foreign policy experience and has pledged lower taxes and smaller government while supporting gun rights unabashedly, and a pair of liberal senators who were fighting each other only a few short months ago but who have now teamed up with the shared goal of raising our taxes, growing our government, making 12 million illegal aliens into citizens and taking our guns and ammunition away.

We get to pick between a team that supports our troops and has plans to bring them home victorious, and two bozos that want to throw all of our soldiers' sacrifices away by raising the white flag and quitting with victory on the horizon just to appease a bunch of America-haters who still won't like us after we cut and run.

Tomorrow is the contest for all of the marbles. We can elect a team that has always shown pride in America and support for Americans--a team which enjoys the support of the military, gun owners, and people who enjoy freedom or want to keep what they earn, or we can elect the team that wants to take my wealth and maybe yours and spread it to those who don't work...a team that every America-basher in Hollywood, every foreign dictator and terrorist leader, and every piece of left-wing Euro-trash wants to see take over our country.

I did my part for America when I voted a week ago for McCain/Palin. All I can do now is encourage each and every one of you to do the same in the name if this great country, and then pray for America. And I believe that we can prevail because I believe that there are enough people who value the traditional American way of life who will join me and others and keep Obama and his socialist/terrorist pals away from the reins of our nation.

But I also know that if by chance or deceit Obama does take the election, America is strong enough to survive his tenure, just as we did that of Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and Lyndon Johnson. If anything, I see a backlash in which real Americans will rally and elect another Ronald Reagan to succeed Obama and repair that damage that he'll cause. An Obama victory in 2008 will hurt this country but it may well bring about a greater triumph down the road, perhaps in the form of a Palin presidency in 2012. (Anyone who scares the liberal thugs the way that she has is definitely someone that we need to keep around.)

So get out and vote tomorrow, and vote for America. Keep Obama in the senate and his entourage of America-haters, terrorists and socialists far, far away from our White House. Get out there and cast that vote for John McCain. Lagniappe and I both thank you in advance.
