Saturday Man Movie

In the fairly forgettable but still fun 1979 movie Search and Destroy, an old enemy from his days in Vietnam kills a Special Ops vet's friends and kidnaps his girlfriend. Naturally, this makes that vet, played by Perry King, very angry.
This leads to a war in downtown Niagara Falls, a war that police detective George Kennedy trys--and fails--to head off.

And the fight continues at first light:

  1. Sad to say, I have NO memory of ever watching that one!

  2. If I had been Perry King, I'd have armed myself better - but then I suppose it would've been a shorter movie.

Wonder what's with the Butch & Sundance scene into the river. Ha!

And if Detective Dragline had been able to head off the urban war, the movie would've been shorter...oops, wrong film.

  3. @Old NFO: I remember watching it over and over again on HBO back in the mid-1980's. Haven't seen it anywhere since. until I found a copy in some video store cheap movies bin. Add some new video-making software courtesy of Aaron at the Shekel, and...Ta-Da!

@ The Donald: What? Not a STEN fan? LOL. And props for the Cool Hand Luke reference.

  4. I remember watching that one on HBO back in the day, I'd guess around 1981 or 82. I was in high school then and had to be sneaky since my mom didn't approve of movies like that...

  6. That sure is one big magazine, load once and shoot all day. Also, several times you can see the muzzle and it has a hole about the size of a .17, so maybe that's why it holds so many rounds.

  7. I remembered that movie, I though it was pretty good. I watched it on HBO and bought a crappy VHS version of it years ago. I will now scour ebay for a dvd version.
