This time it was a "flash mob" (read: band of urban predator youth out seeking prey) that robbed another store and beat the manager when he tried to stop some of them.
Flash Mob Steals From Baltimore 7-Eleven; Beats Store Manager Who Tries To Stop Them
This stuff is on the rise in urban centers across the country as these punks feel emboldened by their numbers to attack pretty much anyone that they choose, be it a stranger walking down the street, people peaceably attending local events, or a store manager in their own community where they and their families shop every day.
Once one of these mobs forms, what would it take to get one to turn on any one of us? Apparently merely our presence, especially if we're white.
What does it take to stop one of these mobs from victimizing any one of us?
Get the idea? Because when seconds count, the police are just minutes away.
Coincidentally--or not--these "flash mobs" seem to be the most prevalent in places where state or local government has barred law-abiding citizens from carrying firearms for personal protection. Maybe that's why we're not seeing this sort of savagery playing out in the Carolinas, or Georgia, or Texas. Maybe there's something to that idea that an armed society is a polite society, eh?
Now go live your day. And carry your gun, because Murphy and I want you to be safe and come back tomorrow.
I don't remember hearing about any flash mobs in Ft. Worth recently... ;-)
