Or at least "Trusting Dog".
The ear medication continues, but Murphy has now gotten to the point where he will sit in front of me and stay still while I put the drops in both ears, after which he walks off grumbling and shaking his head. This is a far, far cry from the epic battles of two days ago. He still doesn't like it, but he's accepting it, at least from me.
I take this as an honor and a sign of trust, seeing as how the vet still needs two assistants to hold him when the doctor checks him out.
If you give him a treat after putting in the medication, he might be even more tolerant.
ReplyDelete@ Mrs. S: Oh yeah, he always gets a treat when he does something that he's supposed to. A little positive reinforcement works wonders with this one.
