Lagniappe is gone now, but his memory lives on.
I will do what I can in the name of the last dog I had, Wasabi. Thank you!
Amen, Murphy. Both our much beloved, dearly departed Bichon (I miss you, Scooter!) and our present poodle mix were rescues. I've never men two more loving, affectionate dogs in my life.Give a dog a treat and he'll like you for a few minutes. Give a dog a home and he'll love you forever.-Raptor
I volunteer for a rescue group where I am on the board of directors. I am only ever able to foster one dog at a time (unless it's an orphaned litter), but I have pictures of each and every one. It's the most rewarding thing I have ever done. They KNOW you saved them and they spend the rest of their lives repaying that with devotion.
Will do Sir.
Thanks for posting this, doll. It sickens me to see how much abuse people are capable of. It's like they forget this is a live creature they're hurting - a creature with feelings and pain receptors. Or they don't care...Please, folks - ANYTHING you can do to help out would be greatly appreciated! This has become my cause celebre!
My last three dogs have been from shelters.Only way to go, IMO.
Amen! As I type two rescued Dauschunds sleep on the sofa next to me. We just had a foster dog go to a new home. I support the NADSR (North American Dutch Shepherd Rescue).
