Looks like somebody is feeling the need to show us all that he's really a man, too. However, all I see is someone who isn't very comfortable or familiar with a firearm but who is caving in to peer pressure and pretending, just like he did on this bicycle shot a couple years ago:

Lousy form. If you're posing for a photograph, at least look like you know what you are doing.
Kinda like me putting on a tuxedo and telling people I'm Fred Astaire.

Wait a min..... That shotgun is faked out. It's an over/under but notice the TOP barrel is a bit longer, like some kind of blank adapter has been added.
Yep, fake and inaccurate.
The top barrel has a screw in choke, the bottom tube does not, for some silly reason. I've been shooting for fifty+ years, right up to the tragic canoe accident that put all my shootin' irons over the waterfall, I have never seen that much smoke from a smokeless shotshell.
With that form the shotgun would be on the ground after firing.
Rather looks like he should have a sore shoulder.
Whoa... I can now say for a FACT IT IS FAKE.

Notice the ports on the barrel. Notice NO SMOKE FROM THE PORTS FACING THE CAMERA. ONLY SMOKE IS FROM THE PORTS ON THE FAR SIDE OF THE BARREL.
And do not, Obama seems to have no recoul from the shot. SHOTGUNS KICK!
