Murphy and I are all set for two days worth of winter storm fun that promises up to 8-10 inches of wet snow and likely power outages. But we've got gas for the generator, lots of spare batteries, plenty of food and more than enough beer here, so we'll be riding it out and seeing what we'll see. I've got the next couple days off from work, so no reason to be going out until the snow stops and the roads get cleared.
Got books? We do.
If you're in the path of this mess, we're wishing you the best as well.
Good luck. Best test the generator now, before the wet stuff starts coming down.
ReplyDeleteI like to cruise around the grocery store and watch the non-preppers in a panic, but that's just me.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're ready; hope all goes well, sir.
ReplyDelete@ K: So do I, especially since they're usually panicking over stuff that I habitually keep in stock for just such a foreseeable event.
ReplyDelete@ Bob: I just ran it up two weeks ago. It gets tested monthly now.
@ Rev. Paul: I can't get no readier. Bring it.
But...but....global warming and all that!
ReplyDeleteLOL
Stay safe, bro!
Good luck and I somewhat envy you two. Some peace and quiet without the drama lama at work sounds nice. Well as long as you are not freezing to death!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's the usual ZOMG crap over here...
ReplyDeleteDown here in South Florida, the spring breakers are complaining that it's too cold to go to the beach. First world problems.
ReplyDeleteHang in there.
ReplyDeleteAs long as the beer holds out, you should be fine!
Got a good 3 inches so far down here in Fred'burg. I bet you're buried in the stuff.
ReplyDelete@ Msgt. B: Looks like 6-8" on my deck right now, and still coming down. This is the fun part of living on the side of the mountain that acts like a big catcher's mitt for weather.
