Father jailed for shooting bb gun with his kids in park

It's a prelude of things to come, I'm afraid.

In New York City Wednesday, Jack Pawlowski took his two children to a local park with a toy gun that shoots harmless plastic pellets, only to wind up under arrest and lodged in jail after two self-declared arbiters of acceptable pastimes (aka: "informers", "squealers", snitches") ordered him and his children to leave the park and then called the police and sent them to his home, where he was dragged out in handcuffs with the media present to record the incident.

EXCLUSIVE: Man Arrested For Allegedly Shooting Realistic Toy Gun With Kids In Queens Park

In Bloomberg's New York, the guy's lucky that he didn't have a 2-liter bottle of soda pop in the house along with the kids' toy guns; He'd probably be getting the death penalty for that.

Watch the video in the news story. The smug arrogance of Leni Calas makes me want to punch her through my computer monitor. It's pretty clear that she doesn't think that anyone should even be allowed to have toy guns, much less real ones, and that, in her mind, only her values should count in the community. Sadly, people like Leni Calas are becoming more and more commonplace today and they're rising to positions of power in our society. Given time, she and her fellow Kapos will help create a social structure here in America that Josef Stalin of Fidel Castro would be jealous of--one where a police state locks people up for trivial offenses that are "crimes" only because they are politically incorrect and everyone turns their neighbors in for everything. Can George Orwell's "1984" really be all that far away?

Now If you want to drop Leni Calas or her fellow quisling Maria Smilios a line and let them know that you appreciate them stepping up and deciding for everyone what is appropriate and what is not, and for seeing to it that this dangerous criminal was arrested in front of his children for daring to take them out and have some safe, responsible fun with them and an evil toy gun, I offer you their contact information. Please don't harass or threaten them as that would not be nice and they'll likely just tattle on you anyway.

  1. Could have been worse -- Good thing that the snitchettes didn't see the 32-ounce sodas!

  2. He might as well have been shooting a 45 ACP, same penalty it sounds like. This is what happens when you let stupid people vote.

  3. I can think of only one appropriate response . . . . that each and every one of your readers send each of these fine ladies a toy gun . . . .

    Awwww . . . . come on . . . . that'd be funny!!!!

    I LOVE NY.

But, fortunately, I can no longer afford to visit, and would never live there.

  5. All airguns, airsoft, and paint ball guns are illegal in NYC. This means that what this "innocent" man was doing was against the law, not to mention endangering children.
Just like if he was dealing drugs or exposing himself.
But in a situation where, in actuality, NO ONE is trying to limit or even rob you of your right to own a gun, or affect your civil liberties, you've decided to include yourself in the harassment and terrorizing of two women only wanting to protect the 50 or so children who were playing there.
(And FYI, it wasn't them who called the police. CBS misreported that)
By all accounts, this man committed a crime. In public. And was arrested. Regardless of how you view this particular law in terms of fairness, there is a photo of him doing it.
Yet your egregious response to this is to give out the home addresses and phone numbers of concerned parents. Women who have families and young children, and now the very real fear of ill-informed sociopaths encouraging others to "drop them a line."
To no surprise, you post this on a website devoid of any personal information save that photo of your wife and/or dog.
So you can voice your convictions, without ever having to be held accountable for them.
Might I make a suggestion (and you can carry on with the status quo since no one knows who you are anyway)?
Write another post, a follow-up, where you regale us with your thoughts and beliefs on being a man (and I'm using that only to designate gender, as you are certainly a person absent of character).
But to the point, tell your audience who you really are: a man who condones violence and aggression towards women; a man who deems endangering children and the "sport" of which his God-given right; a man who equates the open and collective terrorizing of well-meaning families with righteousness; a man whose virtues exclude fairness, reason, fore-thought, and basic humanity; but mostly, a man filled with such anger and indignation, he will raise his call to action for others to follow, while he retreats and sits alone, removed from the very frightening and destructive conclusions to his actions, behind the wall of anonymity his stupid blog affords.
Which, you should know, also makes you a coward.
So I would definitely mention that, too.

  9. @ Duke: I have no problem approving posts of people who disagree, so long as they at least try to argue the topic and don't use profane language or merely attack me or other posters. (Hey Fels123...that's a hint, right there.) Sometimes the words and thoughts of the "opposing view" out there do more to discredit themselves than I as a mere commentator ever could, and this guy (who uses a fake name to attack MY anonymity) demonstrates that perfectly. How could I not share such comment gold with the rest of you?

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!

Anybody who thinks that a blog is really anonymous is not paying attention.

And, Henry, since ML is my neighbor I can tell you that there isn't a woman or child alive that shouldn't thank God that he's around.

  12. Ah, yes, Henry Gondorff was the character played by Paul Newman in the 1973 film "The Sting."
