I should've named her "Dammit Belle"...

Because that's all I seem to be saying around here lately.

Dammit, Belle! Get off my table!
Looking out the window: Good. Knocking all my books off the end table and using it as a step stool: Not good.

Dammit, Belle! Get out of my chair!
And adding insult to injury, I wasn't even out of the house yet. I just went in the kitchen to get a fresh beer!

This dog is killing me today. Someone seems to be forgetting her place in the grand scheme of things.

"I toldja, Boss...that one ain't nothin' but trouble."

Yeah, you should talk, Murphy.

  1. Hey Murphy;

    And I am sure Murphy has his own quirks....the incessant counter surfing, the UPS guy, the cats...and other things that wound up in his bed...I think like a frying pan? if memory serves. At least she does different annoying things...Its adds to the spice of life.

    1. True, life would be boring otherwise. The chair thing was a first for her and I think she did it as a test to see if I'd allow it because she did it right in front of me and then looked right at me.

      But it's because of dogs like these two that I still have my NRA magazines delivered in print form--so I can roll one up and swat a dog's behind in a flat second.

    hah! we have a couple of those old people grabby thingies (can't remember what they're called, hungover and sleepy atm) to stop Rip from doing things she shouldn't. she IMMEDIATELY stops when she sees one of us grab the handle. i guess the idea of an extra 2 feet of arm with a pinchy thing on the end wigs her out enough that we've never had to make contact with her to get her to stop misbehaving.

    1. It is tougher with her. Murphy is typically defiant, like "what are you gonna do about it?" but Belle always gives me that "Is this really wrong?" look when I scold her. She works those brown eyes very effectively to her advantage.

      But my chair and my couch are still off-limits to dogs.

  7. Come on if you don't want her standing on the table, build her a window box. You could even store stuff in it.
