More proof that West Virginians can't handle snow.

I was driving into town and saw this one after the last ice storm we got. Just a bit of snow and ice and this guy slid off of his own driveway and trashed his SUV on a tree.
Seriously? In his own driveway? And the guy only has ONE TREE anywhere near his driveway and he hits it square on.
How do you even do that? There had to be a woman involved somewhere.

  1. You know of course that the woman remark will draw some comments. Good thing Murphy is on Guard duty.

  2. It certainty looks like it took some talent to arrange that intersection of tree and automobile.

  4. Q: Why do so many men die before their wives?
    A: Because they want to.

I suspect this guy just seized an opportunity. Either that or a teenager took the car.

  5. Bad place to plant a tree....on the outside of a downhill curve.

  8. It's that old habit of fixating on the object you're trying to avoid - and so, of course, driving right into it. But your theory is good, too. :)

  9. Why are you blaming a woman for the effects of excessive acceleration, gravity, and inertia? Do you know the woman who planted that tree in just the wrong spot?

  10. Read somewhere lately a "tru dat" comment.
YOU may know how to drive on ice, but the ICE doesn't know you know.

  12. I notice there are no tire tracks where the traction would be better.
.....But some people have some fixation for their lawns.
