Cop On The Beat With The Beat

OK, admittedly, this made me smile.

Good job, Dover PD public relations folks. And thanks to Katherine, this blog's token Liberal, for sending the link.

  1. I love how he changes his face when he has to deal with or see someone he knows.
See Liberals aren't always bad. :)

  3. Weird.

One too many hash marks on that sleeve...PTSD? I think that he made the video to support a psycho retirement... And who wouldn't agree?

    1. Aw, come on...don't hate. It's all fun. I mean, geez...people get mad when the cops just go around shooting people all day, and here's one NOT shooting people and he still gets flack. Some folks are just so hard to please.

  4. I thought it was great, but I was wondering...

I didn't see a barrier between the front and rear seats, and it looks to be some kind of a hatchback - definitely not a typical Crown Vic patroller.

Was that an unmarked car, his personal car, or something else?

      Without any professional expertise here....
At least in CT, there are a remarkable number of 'unmarked' police cars (no state trooper has markings, and they patrol most of the towns) and in a remarkable variety of types: SUVs, sedans, compact sedans; and many have no internal barriers. The only external 'giveaway' from a distance is in the way the suspension is riding.
I suspect there are similar ones in other states, especially eastern/mid-Atlantic which seem to go in for the unmarked cars.

  6. The Dover Department was also really great about the way they handled the haters on their website and Facebook site, a really professional group.
