Ah, my little Miss Memphis Belle. While Murphy is more of a "does his own thing" sort of a dog, Belle is never far from Dad. Here she is, lying in the doorway as I read a book in my gun room.
And here she is in my office, "helping" me blog.
If I'm down in the basement reloading or doing laundry, she's usually there too. She really doesn't seem to care where she is so long as she's with me.
Dog love. Uncondititional and damned cute.
Sienna does a similar thing. If I'm at the blogdesk, she's usually a couple of feet away. When I'm watching TV in the den, she'll lean up against or drape herself over my feet. Sometimes she'll jump on the sofa and put a paw on my chest, then rest her head on my lap - it's not so intrusive since she's only about 35 lbs.
ReplyDeleteYou're lucky to have her.
ReplyDeleteAnd nosy too :-) Gotta be close and usually distract you at a critical moment...LOL
ReplyDeletePebbles does pretty much the same thing with me.
ReplyDeleteIf I go outside, even if it's for just a couple of minutes, she'll be waiting at the back door with this "Why didn't you take me with you?" look in her eyes.
If I go lay down to take a nap, she's up on the bed at my feet in seconds.
When I go into the radio room, I'll look over my shoulder and she'll be curled up at the door napping.
Yep, they sure do love us.....
Yep. They have your back! And they do love us.
ReplyDeleteI just wish ours wouldn't have my front - walking in front of me, constantly impeding my gait and rhythm - in short, preparing me to fall!
Both cats and dogs!
It's as though they thought I had food or something...
