Beyonce gets political at Super Bowl, pays tribute to 'Black Lives Matter'
Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot. Over
I didn't bother tuning in to the game because, frankly, I tire of the hype surrounding it, and that includes all of the over-the-top commercials with vapid celebrities who got paid millions to hawk whatever, but this crap? Really? When all we hear lately is how evil and racist and non-inclusive America is, who could possibly have thought that somehow we'd all become more loving towards and tolerant of the ones screaming the loudest about how crummy America is (despite giving them every possible opportunity to thrive and earn wealth) by giving one of their chief advocates the green light to use the Super Bowl itself to basically tell the rest of us to fuck off?
At least some of America's Finest responded by turning their backs on this uncultured and ungrateful lout.
America's sheriffs turn back on Beyonce Super Bowl 'Formation' performance
I wonder what she'd do if somehow the police were able to selectively refuse to protect her or respond to calls for help from her and her family from now on? Of course they wouldn't, even if they could. Unlike Beyonce, her BLM-bankrolling husband, and the thugs who run around shouting the names of dead violent criminals as if they were some sort of saints, the men and women of American law enforcement are better than that. They go to work and do their jobs every day because they believe that ALL lives matter, even relatively non-beneficial ones like Travon Martin, Mike Brown, LaVoy Finicum or Beyonce.
Oh--and I note for the record that this One-Percenter who regularly champions gun control also took to wearing bandoliers of fake bullets as part of her costume. So I guess that makes her a racist hater AND a hypocrite.
Yes, she's a racist and a hypocrite.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't watch the game, but it was even better. The "star QB" for Carolina, Cam Newton didn't even put his hand over his heart for the national anthem when it was sung. He chose to close his eyes like Stevie Wonder and hold his towel like he was listening to some dance tune. Watch the first few seconds of the Lady GaGa anthem performance, and watch how EVERY SINGLE OTHER PERSON there placed their hand on heart, but HIM. And NOT ONE person in the media is saying a single thing about his disrespect our military or calling him out on that. Pathetic.
ReplyDeleteYou have absolutely no idea what you are babbling about. You have no idea of the community work Cam does or those for whom he does it. You have no idea about his belief systems or his Faith or the motivations in his life. A lot of people don't put their hand over their heart - it's not mandatory nor is it a statement one way or another. It's not like he was doing a Hitler salute or a black power fist. You have made a judgement call based on nothing but emotion and zero fact. Shame on you. Way to knee jerk react.

DeletePlease he is a whiny little bitch sore loser and he showed his true colors at the press conference. And no it is not MANDATORY, but it is a sign of respect in this country. And all his teammates, coaches and fans, seem to understand that but I guess he is special so he can just do whatever he wants. Hey I guess if it is good enough for Obama, it's good enough for him. Please he is a goddamn football player with tremendous arrogance and a lack of maturity.
DeletePardon my French but that over-hyped female singer is a piece of shite. What an asshole!
ReplyDeleteShe sings the Black Panther anthem while lightening her skin and dying her hair blonde.
ReplyDeleteJust shows who the NFL is pandering to.....
ReplyDeleteI was just sitting there (under protest, my 15 year record of not watching Super Bowls was ruined last night, I'll be in my late 70's before I can set a new record). Anyhoo, I was just sitting there mortified that if Beyonce had a wardrobe malfunction as was likely, I'd have to stab my eyes out to prevent seeing something awful I wouldn't be able to forget for the rest of my life. Those thighs!
ReplyDeleteYep. What a horrible bad racist country. Elected a sorta black president twice. Made Beyonce, and Will Smith and Oprah richer than their wildest dreams. And still, nothing but complaints, and no respect for the rest of us. I have a 3 word response for them,One word is Go, and another is Yourselves. Bet you can guess the rest.
ReplyDeleteAND she got a police escort getting there. AND they knew days ahead of time that she was going to do this - I saw rumbles about this last week. AND from the pics I saw she looked like a $2 wh@r€ with a big butt.
ReplyDelete$2?
ReplyDeleteYou're being generous.....
Lay the blame on the correct network. It was broadcast on CBS.
ReplyDeleteI watched the halftime show. I must be getting old because I could not understand a word of Beyoncé's performance.
Me either.
DeleteCBS, not NBC.
ReplyDeleteSorry. Force of habit, associating anything liberal, dishonest or un-American with NBC.
ReplyDeleteHey Murphy;
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch it, I heard about the superbowl halftime show later one. I also saw where Cam was a jerk during the post game interview.
"...my 15 year record of not watching Super Bowls was ruined last night..."
ReplyDeleteMy 49 year record of not watching (nor caring) is still intact.
