I took the hounds out for a long overdue walk tonight.
Here they are, down by the Mississippi.
Posing in front of Jackson Square, with St. Louis Cathedral in the background.
This went well for a few seconds, and then Murphy saw the carriage horses and lost his mind.
Waiting outside a bar while Dad gets a beer.
And here they are on Bourbon Street at last.
And it's only a fifteen minute walk home from here. Yeah, this is gonna work out just fine.
that top picture is a classic.
ReplyDeletegorgeous doggies.
Love the pictures and I'm glad things are working out for you and the doggies. :o)
ReplyDeleteLooks like they are settling into the new environment just fine.
ReplyDeleteIf you and they are enjoying everything, this is a good move.

Great pics!! Enjoy French Quarter Fest -- we took Bouie once. Just once. He wasn't a fan of the huge crowds.
ReplyDeleteIt's always amused me to take visitors to the levee near Jax square, let them look at the river, then turn and look at Jax square. Then it dawns on them that the river is higher than the square and the levee is the only thing holding back the Mississippi. Priceless!
ReplyDeleteIt's even better when you stand on the street and look over the levee and see a huge ship go by ABOVE you.
DeleteSame when you stand on the levee next to Ponchatrain. All those houses at a lower elevation than the lake.
