Walking Murphy and Belle down in the French Quarter last night. Sumdood comes bopping along then suddenly stops as he sees them. I'm waiting for him to ask if they bite, as that's usually what folks like him seem to want to know, but he surprised me.
"Them's those dogs off of Xxxxx street!" he exclaimed, getting my street right. Never saw this particular mope before but he sure knows M & B.
When all of the local ne'er-do-wells know your dogs, your dogs must be doing something right.
Lmao! Dude!... that's too good!
ReplyDeleteI thought AmbulanceDriver had caught "Sumdood"?

That's NOT a bad thing! :-)
ReplyDeleteI used to have two boxers a really laid back but protective female and a very aggressive and protective male. When we moved to a small hobby farm there was a history of thefts and burglaries in that area. One night he male boxer found a reason o escape the kennel. I found blood and torn clothing the next day. From that time on we were known as the people who had that bad ass dog and never had a problem with trespassers or thefts.
ReplyDeleteHeh. My response would've been "yep, these are the two sociable ones. Daisy and Muffin are back at home. They don't leave the house much, which is good, because we had to move here due to the mauling they gave that one guy....."
ReplyDeleteIf you can manage a 1000-yard stare while saying it, that would be even better. Then your house is protected whether the dogs are with you or not. :)
LOL. I did think for a moment that he was probably going to whip out his Obamaphone and call the local burglars to tell them that the coast is clear.
Delete:) Always make them wonder.
DeleteHopefully his comrades will stay away also.
ReplyDeleteOr they will learn the hard way
Your dogs, the famed interlopers of Xxxxx Street , which clears in seconds on their arrival. :-)
ReplyDeleteGood doggies!
ReplyDeleteNo telling. He might just think they're gorgeous (which is true--they are). I recognize the dogs from my neighborhood before I do the people, and can tell you where the other Scotty dog in the area lives.
