If it's just the one window you should just substitute a curtain for the blind, a curtain can be nosed aside so they can peer out, or even left slightly open so a nose isn't even necessary.
I try to remember to put it up when I leave and down when I'm home but sometimes I forget. Leave it up when I'm home and all I get is BARK! BARK! BARK! They definitely let passers-by know that this is THEIR house.
Miss Belle is so cute...she won't let any harm come to her human - that would be you ML. Can't you forgive the blind? I'd go with the curtain option as suggested above.
