Always enthralled by the way he demonstrated a twin Aero Commander. Lots of people can fly a P-51. The maneuvers he performed in a general aviation twin, not so much
I have a photo of me sitting next to him at the Reno air show. Someone in his group recognized me from doing some flying for the Sabreliner folks and introduced us. He was the nicest man and let me join his group for the afternoon, as well as my copilot, who had joined me on that trip. We lost a good one there.
