One-upped by the damned dogs again.

So while I was out planning my big adventure for my hooky day from work, the dogs had their own party tonight.

I came home to find that one of them--Murphy--took a whole bottle of olive oil off the counter, carried it to his dog bed, and proceeded to crush and/or puncture the bottle, consuming all of the oil that did not actually leak into the dog bed itself.

Did I mention recently that I hate this dog?

A whole bottle. Popeye the freaking sailor didn't eat that much... Nope. Not gonna go there.

But damn.

  1. And New Orleans sees a sudden spike in the sales of large puppy pads, mops, and floor cleaning provisions....?
My sympathies - been there, mopped that up with ours over the years. One of the worst events was when our Springer Spaniel broke into our refrigerator and finished off a large medium/hot curry..... Our kitchen was indescribable the morning after - she was exiled to the garden kennel for three days until the high-pressure hose stopped spurting...

Four words: "Free to good home."

Keep repeating it to Murphy until he understands.

    Sure, that'll work........

  6. Murphy sure seems to know how to find a new and different way to ring your number when least expected doesn't he?

  10. He's seeking attention maybe? My cat does weird things when I don't give him enough attention. That's a weird choice of snack for Murphy.

  12. So far no ill effects. I keep telling everyone--this dog is part goat. He can eat ANYTHING...and he will.
