Known primarily by most as James Bond, he also payed Simon Templar in The Saint for a bit, and Sean Finn in The Wild Geese.
He also poked fun at himself many times, spoofing himself in movies like Cannonball Run and even shows like The Muppets.
A quality act. He'll be missed.
This is the first I've heard of his death. I agree with what you wrote. He seemed to have a good sense of humor, not taking himself too seriously. That's rare in Hollywood.
ReplyDeleteHe made the Bond franchise fun. I always looked forward to the next installment. This last guy....not so much.
ReplyDeleteRest in Peace.
He wasn't a favorite but I did like some of his work and found humor in his Bond representations.
ReplyDeletehis Bond was fun even though corny
ReplyDeleteHe'll always be The Saint to me!
ReplyDeleteHey Murphy;
ReplyDeleteYeah his Bonds could be campy but his "Wild Geese" was spot on.
Let us not forget "ffolkes".
ReplyDeleteR.I.P.Roger Moore you humor and acting style will be missed
ReplyDeleteHe was the best Bond and will be missed...My first Bond movie was Moonraker. I love how Moore wrangled that giant anaconda in the rainforest while surrounded by Drax's army of hot chicks. Nothing' better.
ReplyDeleteHe had a reputation as a good, honest man.
