My opinion on important matters

OK, politics aside, since my dear mother gave me a DVD player for Christmas and my pal Aaron gave me copies of Seasons 5 and 6 of Doctor Who, I'm finally able to offer an opinion on something relevant: Matt Smith as the 11th Doctor

Verdict: So far--four episodes in--he sucks. He lacks the gravitas and the maturity that one would expect from a 900+ year old Time Lord, and the BBC screwed up by trying to appeal to a younger, "hipper" audience at the expense of the old guard fans by casting a boy in a man's role.

I mean, it's almost as bad as casting Daniel Craig as James Bond.

But on the bright side...that Amy Pond... Rowr!She's liable to keep me watching for a while.

The Brigadier is gone.

The London Daily Mail reports that Nicolas Courtney, best known as Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart on the Dr. Who series, has died.

He was always one of my favorites on that show over the years.
