Today's the day

She's at the vet now, getting ready for her new home.

But first, I had to stop by the pound and give her a bath, because after a few weeks in dog jail (and wherever she'd been before that), she was filthy. But the wonderful animal control people graciously allowed me to come in and wash her up before her vet visit (spaying, shots, etc.) and even helped.

Here she is, getting all clean.
She was a sweetie, though. She let me bathe her without too much objection, especially when I switched from the cold hose to buckets of warm water. Still, that doesn't mean that she was terribly happy.
Little does she know that her life's totally changing today. For the better.

  6. Lucky girl! We've been blessed with 3 wonderful "girls" from shelters over the years. Saw a sticker on a car just a few minutes ago that is probably, quite appropriate. It was a foot print and read "Who Rescued Who?"

Can't wait for all the exciting new blog material this should provide.

But seriously, what a gift to her, and to Murphy.

A belated Happy Thanksgiving to the entire ML household!

Man look at that face.....How could you say "no" to that...? Hope she doesn't pick up the countersurfing like Murphy does.
