I'm now in the process of shaking something like that. Started out last week while lecturing my class; uncontrollable sneezing. Quickly became postnasal sore spot and started secreting thick mucus, which until this morning (and maybe still is) went dripping into the lungs, coughing up lots of mucus, at one point had trouble breathing due to epiglottal stricture. Began to improve, but all of a sudden the sore throat acted up again, and postnasal drip restarted, heavy coughing.
Feeling better now, but, given its multiple reprises, I can't help but wonder whether it is some engineered virus that escaped from some lab somewhere.
[Hey, Murph, don't you pass not too far from Fort Detrick on your way to and from DC? Cannot totally dismiss possibility of you picking up some engineered virus from there!].
Sorry to hear that. Our family has been battling bronchitis since March 14, when my husband came home from work sick, and then gave it to me and the kids. I have disinfected everything in the house, and it still rages on. Be sure to replace your toothbrush. Hope you feel better soon!
Sucks the joy out of life, doesn't it? Take care of yourself and take the nasty meds.....
ReplyDeleteOH lovely... At least you DID go in... Now it's a matter of treatment and getting better, hopefully soon!
