Well this morning I got an e-mail from my old man, volunteering his services. Annd by way of a military resume, he sent along a picture of himself and his fellow soldiers back when he fought for the Union against Robert E. Lee's troops. Normally I'd object to taking on a Yankee but time's short. Now we've just got to find a horse that can carry him. All the horses here took one look at his picture and said "Oh
Hell no!"
Wussy horses.

Also volunteering is his wife, Mary. She's the short one in the green shirt. She can't ride or shoot, but I hear that when she gets upset she can punch a mean kneecap. Of course if we recruit a few more people that size, we'll have to learn the words to some new marching songs, notably the "Lollipop Guild" song from the Wizard of Oz and "Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work we go" from Snow White.
