Something that I've always wondered...

Every time I see the phrase "found dead in a pool of vomit" as used in this story, I can't help but wonder exactly how much vomit it takes to fill a pool? And are we talking a kid's wading pool here, or an Olympic-sized one? How deep...enough for diving? And why would anyone get into such a pool in the first place?
